Margaret "Peg" Diehl, LCADC, ICADC
Co-Founder

"Peg" Diehl has helped write Seabrook House's rich, 35-plus year
history as much as anyone. She co-founded Seabrook House with
her late husband Jerome J. Diehl in 1974, designed and implemented
the original family treatment program at Seabrook House, and continues
to work today in the Seabrook House Family Program. She has been
a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) since 1977, an Internationally
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC) since 1991 and in
2004, became one of the first Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug
Counselors (LCADC) in New Jersey. Peg began her recovery as a
family member 40 years ago.
Edward M. Diehl

"Ed" began his career in the chemical dependency treatment field
in 1976. A year later, Ed joined his family at Seabrook House
in 1977 as a Certified Alcoholism Counselor (CAC). In 1986, Ed
was named Vice-President of Clinical and Community Services, overseeing
all treatment activities and external communications. Shortly
after his father's death in 1989, Ed was appointed President of
Seabrook House - the position he holds today. Ed's expertise lies
in the areas of healthcare financing, development, public policy,
and managing within a rapidly changing environment. In 2009, Ed
will celebrating 35 years of sobriety.
Matthew J. Wolf
Vice President Business Operations

"Matt" oversees admissions, marketing, community relations, business development, contracts
management, medical records, facilities management, all support services and information
technology at Seabrook House. In his 21 plus years with the organization,
Matt has served as a Helpline Counselor, Director of Admissions,
Director of Business Development, and in his current position,
as Vice President of Business Operations. In 2009, Matt will celebrate
25 years in recovery from chemical dependency.

Christopher R. Altamuro, D.O., ASAM
Medical Director
Dr. Altamuro oversees all aspects of the medical treatment of patients for detoxification
and residential treatment. He hold licenses to practice medicine in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree
from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a board certified member of the American Society of
Addiction Medicine (ASAM) as well as holding board certification in Family Medicine. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia. Before joining Seabrook House, Dr. Altamuro has held numerous Medical Director positions at a variety of addiction treatment centers over his career. He is an active staff physician at South Jersey Healthcare Systems, Atlantic City Medical Center and Kennedy Health System.
William J. Heran, Ph.D., LCSW
Clinical Director

Dr. Heran oversees all clinical aspects of the Seabrook House adult detox and residential programs. He earned his Master in Social Work degree from New York University and his Doctorate in Social Work
from Smith College in Massachusetts. He is a licensed clinical social worker in the states of New Jersey and Hawaii, with specialized training in family therapy. Prior to coming to Seabrook House, Dr. Heran was co-founder, owner and clinical director of Paradise Recovery residential addiction program in Honolulu, Hawaii. He brings over 20 years of clinical social work experience as well as program development, funding, recruitment and accreditation compliance. Dr. Heran integrates theory and practice, specifically using psychodynamic therapies in treating PTSD and co-occurring disorders.
Arthur
C. Schwarz, MBA
Controller
As Controller of Seabrook House, Arthur is responsible for all
aspects of Seabrook House’s financial operations, including budget
preparation, supervision of finance department staff, including
Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Arthur holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Rowan
University and before joining Seabrook House served as the Fiscal
Controller for Philadelphia Health Management Corp. in Philadelphia,
PA.
Denise Adams , PHR
Vice President Human Resources
As Vice President of Human Resources, Denise is responsible for the strategic planning, development and delivery of employee programs and services to over 200 employees at Seabrook House, MatriArk Family Center and Seabrook West. Prior to joining our leadership team, Denise served in a similar role at Metrologic Instruments, Inc. in Gloucester Township, N.J. Denise brings over 15 years of progressive hands-on experience from the variety human resources specialties. She is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management and is certified by the organization as a professional in human resources (PHR). Denise earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a dual concentration in HR and marketing from Rowan University. She began her recovery as a family member 5 years ago
